Want to add a bit of fun to your picnic experience? Here are two of the quirkiest picnic blankets on the market!

I’m a bit of an addict when it comes to picnic blankets, and I just can’t resist something a little bit different or fun! I was absolutely delighted to receive this official Twister blanket as a gift last Christmas (my friends know me well!) and couldn’t resist this Suck UK ‘Bearskin’ blanket either when I spotted it on Amazon – Emily loves it!

Twister Picnic Blanket

This has proven to be a firm favourite with both adults and kids this Summer! This is a official piece of Twister merchandise and features the traditional Twister board design.

Measuring 140x170cm, the Twister Picnic Blanket features a waterproof backing, and has a detachable carry handle.

A fully functioning picnic blanket with a miniature Twister key-ring spinner, once you’ve eaten, you can top off the afternoon with this party game classic. Or alternatively, work up an appetite before you eat!

After the fun it packs away neatly until next time. As a bonus, it can also be used perfectly well indoors on a rainy day to play Twister – I find it much nicer than using the traditional plastic mat that comes with the board game.

Suck UK Bearskin Picnic Blanket

I’d never heard of Suck UK before I saw this incredibly cool picnic blanket, but turns out they do a whole range of great homewares and novelties!

The Suck UK Bearskin Picnic Blanket is a traditional red check picnic blanket is shaped like a bear skin rug with a soft-feel, water-resistant, polyester top and waterproof backing.

It folds up neatly, either into a traditional rectangle or bear’s head shape!

Machine washable and hardwearing, the blanket at the widest points measures 150cm x 165cm, and when folded easily fits in Picnic Holdalls, Picnic Cool Bag Backpacks  and Picnic Baskets.

They’re not to everyone’s taste I know – many of you might prefer a more traditional picnic blanket, or need a large picnic rug. But I think that both of these are incredibly fun! I’ve also taken the bearskin along on playdates to use as the ‘kids table’ specially for the little ones to sit on – they love it!

And let me take this opportunity to thank you for shopping on my site and wish you a great summer of games and laughs outdoors too! x
